About the artwork

The work began with the image of a candle burning and developed into a formal exploration of the name “Fatemeh.” The letters move beyond conventional Nastaliq reading, stretching and curving into a vertical, flowing structure defined by extended black lines.

Soft pink and pale yellow shading within and around the form, set against the stronger black contours, shifts the name from written language toward image.
